In this introductory (online) workshop, students will be given the opportunity to explore the principles and practices of observational analysis in institutional ethnography.

Institutional Ethnography: Fieldwork

Students will be given the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have gained across the previous classes through an autoethnographic research project that takes them to a field site of their choosing.

Please note, only students who have completed the following workshops will have the ability to register successfully for this course: (1) Orienting to Institutional Ethnography, (2) Text Analysis in Institutional Ethnography, and (3) Observational Analysis in Institutional Ethnography


Institutional Ethnography: Workshop

In this workshop, students will receive hands-on training to develop the ethnographic data they have collected during their fieldwork. Students will also be given the opportunity to present their findings to renowned institutional ethnographer, Dr. Liza McCoy.
